Our 316L Stainless steel Tig filler wire is a molybdenum bearing, stainless steel filler rod with low carbon content. Test certs available if required.

316L It is corrosion resistant for welding molybdenum bearing austenitic stainless steels. The wire is used for a range of applications including the fabrication of pipe and plate, suitable for use to weld 304 and 316 sheet materials.

316L is a bare, corrosion-resistant, chromium-nickel-molybdenum rods for welding austenitic stainless alloys of the 18% Cr-8% Ni and 18% Cr-10% Ni-3% Mo types it has good general corrosion resistance, particularly to corrosion in acid and chlorinated environments.

The weld metal provides good resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion by non-oxidising acids. Intended for applications where service temperatures do not exceed 400°c.

Available in 0.8,1.0, 1.2, 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2mm diameters.
