This metabo white cutting and polishing paste 623520000 is used in conjunction with the metabo Sisal polishing mops 623507000, the paste lubricates and cools the mops which stops discolouration of stainless steel and stops mop burnout.

These waxy bars have a small amount of abrasive particles to "cut" stainless steel prior to polishing.

In the pre polishing of stainless steel, "sisal" cotton mops are used primarily with cutting componds for aggresive finishing before final finishing and polishing of stainless steels.

Their hardness is achieved by stacking cotton discs and stitching them together; tighter stitching results in a firmer, more aggressive mop.

Role in the Polishing ProcessStainless steel polishing typically follows a multi-stage progression:

Cutting Stage (Sisal Mops): For removing heavy scratches or 240–600 grit marks, very hard Sisal Mops are used with heavy cutting compounds.

Intermediate Stage (Hard Stitched Cotton Mops): Once the surface is flat, stitched cotton mops are used to remove the "dull" finish left by sisal. They provide the rigidity needed to apply enough pressure to generate heat and refine the metal's surface. use Metabo brown soap

Final Finishing (Loose Leaf Mops): For a high-gloss or mirror finish, the process transitions to Loose Cotton Mops, which are unstitched and much softer, allowing them to follow contours without leaving visible streaks.
