The Metal Cutting Bandsaw BS-500-DM is currently the biggest dual-mitering machine in the standard DIMAKIN range. Because of this, the bandsaw benefits from a quick-locking vice that can be adjusted to secure the material on both sides, helping it cut 60° left and 45° right respectfully.

Unlike its predecessors, the Bandsaw BS-500-DM has a hands-free descent mechanism, controlled numerically on the control panel. This system increases consistency in descent speed for repeatable results. The bow return is manual.

Sturdier blade dimensions on this model further improves its accuracy. At 34mm tall, and 1.1mm thick, it ensures perfectly straight cuts again and again. Correct tension on this blade is ensured and maintained with a blade-tension pressure gauge at the front of the machine.

In addition to the many features on this machine, the in-built flood coolant system collects into a chip tray. This then drains into the body of the machine. This fluid is then pumped back around, cooling the blade and material. Keeping everything at optimal temperature, improving the life of your blade, and in turn your cut quality.

The single control panel controls the entire operation of the machine. This panel includes adjustment knobs for blade speed, bow descent, coolant pumps, and an emergency stop.

Furthermore, the control panel includes a digital readout (DRO) displaying blade speed. Therefore, allowing for precise adjustment of the inverter driven speed for accurate cutting of varying materials. Typically, you will want to cut harder materials slower, and softer materials faster, and this system will allow you to switch between the two with ease.
