Hypertherm 528045 CPC port with selectable voltage ratio board for Powermax 105 SYNC plasma cutters is an optional field fit device to enable your Hypertherm plasma cutter to communicate with an external start/stop device by adding a machine interface receptacle to the rear of the plasma power source.

The CPC port is used to control a Hypertherm Powermax plasma cutter with an external stop/start signal from either a CNC controller from a plasma table or remote stop/start control box which allows you to operate your Hypertherm plasma cutter automatically or remotely.

The kit is an easy to fit option which is a plug and play unit, includes the external port and all wiring to fit to existing internal connectors, it includes the selctable voltage ratio board and grounding wires, the selectable voltage ratio jumpers can be set at 50:1, 40:1, 30:1, 21.1:1 or 20:1 dependant on your CNC requirements. The selctable votage ratio pcb allows your CNC device to read the arc voltage of the plasma cutter in real time so that CNC systems with Digital Torch Height Control ( DTHC ) can use a low voltage input to adjust torch height in real time.

Once fitted, pins 3 and 4 are used for Arc start/stop the plasma arc.

When the pilot arc has transferred to full cutting current a relay inside the plasma power source closes and Pins 12 and 14 are used to connect to the CNC controller to tell the plasma table transfer is complete and to start the machine motion.

If Digital torch height control is used pins 5 and 6 can be connected to the CNC unit for Voltage measuring.
