Information
Pferd CC Grind Solid 115 mm for Stainless Steel, very high stock removal grinding disc.Part no 900901.

The new CC-GRIND SOLID grinding discs offers the ultimate in stock removal when grinding steel resulting in a 40 percent greater economic value when compared with reinforced grinding wheels.

The CC-GRIND SOLID discs are as sturdy and safe as any reinforced grinding wheel and with their special flange clamping set, they are also able to work at optimal position on all standard angle grinders. Cooling slits in these clamping flanges and their geometric design ensure a high air flow which reduces the thermal load on the grinding agent as well as on the work piece itself. Indeed the backing pad reduces both Noise and Vibration by 50 %.

In our tests we timed the CC grind solid 115 mm against  a convention 115mm grinding disc to remove 250mm of weld seam using the same Bosch grinding machine. The Conventional disc removed the weld in 1 min 15 seconds, the Pferd CC grind solid took 22 seconds.

Ideal for edge grinding as well as weld-seam dressing, the heavy duty construction of the CC-GRIND SOLID even makes them suitable for very rough grinding applications but they are not recommended for circumferential grinding such as on root-pass welds in pipeline construction. Both the steel and INOX versions are available in 115mm, 125mm and 180mm diameters with 125mm discs having a max rpm of 12,200.

A conventional grinding disc is designed to break down and wear away with use to reveal sharper grain to grind, the downside is as the disc breaks down it produces grinding dust, The CC grind solid produces 80% less grinding dust.

This disc must be used with the relevant Clamping flange see below.
