The best selling Hypertherm powermax 45 has had an upgrade with many new features for a machine of this size and cost, the new model is the Hypertherm Powermax45 XP which now has the following new features:-  

The powermax 45XP is an extremely portable lightweight inverter based 45 amp Plasma cutter suitable for handheld or mechanised plasma cutting applications. The powermax 45 can be used with air or nitrogen and can cut any electrically conductive metals such as mild steel, stainless steel and Aluminium.

This machine can sever up to 29mm mild steel, and recommended for production cutting up to 16mm plate. New features include an enhanced gouging function at only 10 amp for light metal removal such as spot welds without removing excess material, hand held and mechanised plate marking is also possible . 

The machine uses the existing Duramax range of torches with quick disconnect and new torch disable function for safely changing consumables. If you are cutting, gouging or soft marking the machine will automatically adjust the required air pressure to suit your application. 

Requires 240 volt single phase 32 amp electrical supply often found in many workshops and farm buildings. The machine has a quick fit torch connector ideal for maintenance or changing from hand to mechanised torches. Option CPC Remote socket on rear for interfacing with  X Y and CNC controlled plasma cutting tables.
